TWUNGUBUMWE ASSOCIATION

TWUNGUBUMWE was founded by Refugees on December 9th  2016, to enable refugees to defeat the challenges they were facing in their communities such as lack of their basic needs, lack of job opportunities.

OUR PROGRAMS

The Duck’s Project 

The project entitled “ DP” adjust the proteins of pet consumption by reducing the price of eggs and meat, therefore it reduces the poverty among refugees and also increases the incomes of the association’s members

The Savings & Loan Project

The savings and loan project’s aim is to enlighten the population (refugees and host community) on the importance of saving. The project facilitated the construction of a community school through the loan scheme arrangements.

The Carpentry Project 

Empowers the youth by providing basic skills in carpentry in order to facilitate them get rid of engaging in violent behaviors, bad peer pressure resistance.

I join Twungubumwe association when I was running a small business (a retail shop) and after saving with this association, I could collect around 1,2 millions and got a loan of 4 millions from our association to expend my shop and know I can provide items to others retailers. Up to now I still comited to save with Twungubumwe
